Ed, Umar and I (the three CogCo co-founders) are thrilled to announce that CogCo has been awarded the King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade, one of the most coveted business recognitions in the United Kingdom.
The royal recognition celebrates CogCo’s significant growth over the last four years, with a particular focus on the success we have had internationally with our partners around the world.
This ever-growing list has included media companies in France and Germany; pharmaceutical companies in the United States and Switzerland; banks and financial service firms working with customers around the world; major consulting firms in the Middle East; universities running global executive education programmes; and international organisations and foreign governments.
One of our longest-standing and impactful collaborations has been with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). UNDP has been using our Ekota platform in Sri Lanka, Timor Leste and Bhutan to conduct large-scale online citizen engagement campaigns to help find out more about what young people think their governments could be doing to tackle climate change.
So we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our international partners, without whom this award would have course not been possible (you know who you are, but we’ll drop you a line separately to say thank you properly!). And we would would also, of course, like to recognise our superb team, whose knowledge and expertise in their specialist subject matters (behavioral science, design and data science) have enabled us to win new projects, develop new methods and kept all of us learning in the process.
Receiving the King's Award for Enterprise is not only a celebration of our past achievements but also a powerful motivation for our future endeavors.
One of our main focus areas now is on the creation of a new AI-driven platform called BengoAI, which will help organisations use their research to create customer profiles that they can interact with. We believe, over time, that it will replace the use of personas or customer segments when thinking about how to develop a new product or service with particular customers in mind.
Finally, we would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Department for Business and Trade for recognizing our international growth story and to His Majesty The King for this prestigious honor.
The official presentation of the King's Award will take place later this year, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with the team at CogCo. In the meantime, we will be proudly displaying the King's Award emblem!
